The section I chose was section three "Commit to a Single Viable Topic". This section is dedicated to helping you determine if your topic will work. It ask whether your topic with be compatible with the assignment or if you're interested enough with the topic. These questions are brought up because if you are not interested in the topic it will become harder for you to continue on with it and it makes you consider things such as deadlines and available resources. This is what I took away from the section the most. When choosing a topic, most people only pick their topic because they are interested in it. They don't think about things such as deadlines or how easily accessible resources can be. Keeping these things in the back of my mind will make it easier when picking a topic. When picking a topic, I personally believe that talking to others is the best method. By talking to others and explaining your reasons, they can give you their insight on the topic or give you a different point of view on how that topic can work.

The community I am interested in working in is student athletes in college. I have not yet picked a research question but I am considering a few topics. I am interested in how being in the public eye affects their everyday life and how they balance their sport with school.
